Program Objectives:

At the completion of this program the participant should be able to:

1.  Discuss evidence-based diagnosis and treatment recommendations for coronary artery disease, hypertension, peripheral vascular dissease, and metabolic syndrome.

2.  Describe interventional and pharmaceutical options for management of congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation.

3.  Discuss radiologic imaging modalities that can be used for the discovery and management of  cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular disease risk.

4.  Identify patients who are at risk for cardiovascular events and discuss primary and secondary prevention options that decrease the risk for the occurrence of the event and development of the disease state.

5.  Discuss current recommendations for treatment of acute coronary syndrome.

6.  Interpret electrocardiographs for ischemic disease, dysrrhythmias and cardiac chamber enlargement.

Novak, MD Medical Seminar”.  Heart to Heart III is a comprehensive medical education program designed to provide the latest in cardiovascular medicine for PAs, physicians, and APNs in all practice settings.  The curriculum is incorporated in a 7-Day land to sea venture starting with a keynote presentation and send-off reception in Orlando and continues on at sea aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines “Freedom of the Seas.”
